CND Guava Swatch & Comparison with China Glaze Peachy Keen & Zoya Arizona

Hi guys,
so I really debated showing you this swatch today because it is SOO colour inaccurate, but I don't know, I'm going to show you anyway as you really never hear about this colour.
I heard about it from Andrea or Plasma Spedo on youtube, and I realllly wanted it, but couldn't find it for AGES! So I think it must be discontinued as CND don't have it listed on their website.
Guava is a beautiful coral colour, it applies well. I used two coats and experienced no streaking or bubbling. I also really like CND's brush, while it's not like OPI's Prowide or anything I find it so easy to use, the bristles are very flexible.

Since this swatch looks soo much more orange than it is in real life I decided to include a comparison between a couple of oranges.

On the left is CND Guava, in the middle, China Glaze's Peachy Keen, & Zoya Arizona on the right. Here you can see it's a lot more coral.

Essie Lapis of Luxury & CND Sapphire Sparkle

Hi guys, so after the absolute delight it was to remove Zoya Dove from yesterday compared to Tinsel Town the day before lol, I decided to wear another creme. Today I'm wearing Essie Lapis of Luxury.

Lapis of Luxury has a slightly jellyish formula in my oppinion, but applies super easy without streaks. I used three coats - but you can get away with two.

And since I can rarely leave a plain creme alone, I decided to add CND sapphire sparkle over the top. It looks so pretty in real life, with a really prominent electric blue shimmer with slight purple/pink duochrome, but of course, camera did not pick it up lol

Zoya Dove

Hi guys! Today I'm wearing grey!
Now while I love my grey clothing (seriously, too much grey) I never got on board with grey nails. I remember trying OPI Skull & Glossbones when it first came out, and it just did not aggree with me. Finally, over a year later I decided to get another grey and see how we go, and while I'm not LOVING it, I am enjoying it. A twist on neutral.

So today I am wearing Zoyas Dove from the Intimate collection. Dove applied very well, but if you aren't careful you could get streaks.
This is two coats.

China Glaze Tinsel Town

Hi guys, so I wasn't super impressed with how Chanel Graphite from yesterdays post looked on me, so I wanted to bling it up. I opened my China Glaze drawer and Tinsel Town jumped out at me. I'd never worn this as a full mani so I immidiately started painting.
I LOVE this polish! However, I bet I'm not going to love the removal, just look at all that glitter. I also used two thick coats of  China Glaze Fast Forward topcoat to make it smooth.

Chanel Graphite

Hi guys, I know it's a long time between posts but I honest;y haven't been updating my manicures very much which has partly been due to the fact I've been battling a stomach ulcer for the past month which has really been dragging me down and all my spare time is spent on UNI work.
Anyway, today I am wearing Chanel Graphite which came out last year I believe along with peridot and quartz.
Graphite is a gunmetal grey shimmer with gold shimemr which can sometimes give off a slightly greenish cast.

Graphite applied very nicely. Opaque in two coats, slightly brushstrokey which dissapears with a topcoat.

Now I know of a couple of really similar colours to Graphite if you don't wanna spend the dosh on chanel laquer (I think this colour was limited edition too). Revlons Carbonite is a known dupe, and Number One Nemisis by OPI which will be released next month with the Amazing Spiderman collection is also very similar with a slightly less shimmery finish.

Zoya Gradient Feat. Zuza, Charla & Opal

Hi guys, sorry for being MIA for a bit, I've been really busy at the moment and haven't been changing my manicures. I've been wearing this one for five days and only have one chip on my right thumb.

For the base I used Zoya Zuza from their new Surf collection and then sponged Zoya Charla on my tips. I then added a coat of Opal to blend it all together a bit more and give it some more bling lol

Hope all you guys are doing well. Hopefully I'll have another post soon as I have so many new goodies to show you, but I have a lot in this week and since this mani is really holding up and I don't have much spare time I'll probably have this on for a bit longer.

Zoya Wednesday Swatch & Comparison

Hey guys, SUPER quick post showing you Zoya Wednesday from their 2012 Beach collection. Wednesday is a green leaning turquoise with a slight dustiness to it.

This creme applied easily in two coats.
I did experience a bit of staining on my skin when removing this polish.

So the furthest left is Zoya Wednesday, OPI Mermaids Tears, China Glaze For Audrey, Zoya Wednesday (again), Essie Turquoise & Caicos, Color Club Blue-ming & Essie Mint Candy Apple. These are actually all one coat.

My experience with Fake OPI polishes

Hi guys, so no nails today but I do have a polish related post. Last week I purchased some nail polish on ebay and it arrived today and to my dismay, they were fake. This has never happened to me before and I have sent an email to the seller explaining that these are fake and am pending a reply so I'll keep you updated.

The polishes I purchased are supposed to be: "That's Hot! Pink!" From the 2008 Mod About Brights collection. "Fly" from the 2012 Nikki Minaj Collection and "Just Spotted The Lizzard" from the not yet released Spiderman collection for May 2012. In all honesty, I was skeptical purchasing JSTL as it has not been released yet, and this seller was the only one offering it, but since they had 100% positive feedback I went ahead and bought it.

OPI Black Cherry Chutney

Hi guys, I hope you all had a great easter! I went away with my whole family over the weekend when it was also my birthday yay! As I knew I would be having an awesome time with my loved ones I knew I wouldn't have time to do my nails so I wanted something simple that I could tollerate for a while on my nails. I chose OPI's Black Cherry Chutney which is a GORGEOUS vampy shade. It's a very very very dark red (almost black that looks purple in some lights) with an amazing red shimmer. This goes on perfectly in two coats, thicker coats could let yopu get away with one. This also has amazing staying power. Was on my nails for 5 days with no chipping! This is a must have OPI.

The shimmer is more visable in real life.

Comparison: OPI Catch Me In Your Net, Zoya Charla & Orly Halleys Comet

As some of you may know, OPI's Catch me in your net is one of my favourite polishes. Unfortunately this is discontinued and now, expensive, but I've got some cheaper alternatives for you!
Zoya and Orly have exact dupes of this colour! I've heard of a couple of US DS brands also do but I'm not aware of these sorry.

So, left to right is ORLY Halley's Comet from the Cosmic FX Collection, Zoya Charla from the Sparkle Collection and OPI Catch Me In Your Net from the Summer Flutter Collection.
All three were released in 2010.

For some reason in this photo, the OPI is appearing less sparkley, but this is not the case in real life. All three have three coats. The formulas are all pretty much identical, however I did feel my Orly was a little thicker, but this may be because it had been used a couple of times before. My favourite is the OPI, ONLY because it's my favourite brush, but it's not worth splurging ebay prices when you can get either of the other two for a fraction of the price, I was just lucky enough to come accross it in a dusty so I snatched it up :P The most economic is deffinately the ORLY especially when you consider it's 18mL compared to Zoya & OPI's 15mL.
