Water Marble Attempt!

Hi guys, so this is my second water marble attempt and while I'm not happy with my pattern or design this turned out much better than my first attempt :)

Here I used China Glaze Light As Air & For Audrey as well as Color Club Fashion Addict! I really like this combination! :)

Valentines Ruffian! Kayla Shevonne Re-creation

Hi guys, so it's rainy and pouring today and I am so not happy about it. Not only did I get soaked walking from my car to work (at 6.30 in the morning), it took me ages to get a half decent photo of this manicure. It was so overcast and horrible today my nails were barely noticable in most of my photos. 

Anyway, I got this idea from Kayla Shevonne She is an awesome blogger with GORGEOUS nails. I really like the ruffian style but it's quite difficult to get perfect.

Anyway I started with a black creme by LA Colors and then painted my ruffian with Tall Poppy by Models Prefer (Australian Brand) I then used Sally Hansen White On to free hand the hearts as an accent nail. I really like this manicure but it was a lot of work for me. The cleanup was also not nice, as I absolutely hate working with black and red as they leave my cuticles looking dirty or irritated. Anyway, as I said I really liked it (I even got a compliment from the lady at my local post office). If you have tried the ruffian are there any tips for easier application?

Comparison: Essie Smooth Sailing vs. Zoya Skylar

Hi guys just wanted to do a quick comparison today because I know some people were wondering how the new Zoya Skylar compares to Essie Smooth Sailing. I wasn't going to post this comparison because I wasn't very happy with the photos, but they aren't that bad lol

 L- Skylar R- Smooth Sailing

As you can see, no dupes here. They do actually look more different in real life believe it or not. Smooth Sailing almost looks purple next to Skylar which is a dusty slate blue while Smooth Sailing is very periwinkle. Besides the base colours which are very different, the shimmer is also different. Smooth Sailing has a silver shimmer (in some lights you see little hints of pink and blue too) and Skylars shimmer is almost a mixture of silver and gold. I think Skylars shimmer is more noticable. Both colours apply super well. This is two coats of each.

Zoya Fleck Effect Collection Swatches & Review 2012 (PIC HEAVY)

Hi guys, so I'm still feeling really sick, so when I got home from work today after starting at 7am I climbed into bed for a nap, when not even 10 minutes later my sister comes in and asks "is zoya colour for you?" YAY! I recieved my order of nine new zoyas! So I hauled myself out of my warm pillow fort because I just HAD to swatch them! So here you are, swatches of the Fleck Effect Collection by Zoya over various colours :)

Dusty Purple Gradient with Color Club Shabby Drab & Zoya Neeka

Hi guys, so I've been on a bit of a gradient kick lately but I thought I'd take a break from the glitter gradients I tend to do a lot, see three here that I posted about recently

Anyway, Since I still was feeeling the gradient trend I decided to do a colour gradient instead.

I used two coats of Color Club Shabby Drab (3 on some fingers) and then a cosmetic sponge to place Neeka at the tips. I'm really loving this mani!

Quick Essie Luxeffects Collection Swatches & Review

Hi guys, I know this is really belated, but I have really super quick swatches of the Essie Luxeffects collection. I'm sorry I haven't had time to swatch on my hands, but I thought I'd show you anyway aha. I love this collection mainly because it's so unlike Essie! Essie are so bland to me, so many pinks, so many beige's, so many browns *yawns* but this is a really fun collection. Props to Essie, They did a REALLY great job with this collection!
