OPI Mermaid's Tears & What's With The Cattitude Gradient

Hi guys, so today I did a gradient using OPI mermaid's tears and what's with the cattitude. Unfortunately this turned out a lot more subtle than I had hoped, but anyway..
The first picture really washes it out, it just looks all one colour..
(Please excuse the wound on my index finger lol)

Here you can see the actual gradient a little better

OPI Absolutely Alice

Hi guys, today I'm wearing one of my alltime favourite polishes, OPI Absolutely Alice! This is a beautiful blue glitter with gold particles mixed in. It's absolutely perfect. I layered one coat over OPI Swimsuit Nailed It, but AA will be opaque in 2 thick coats if you didn't want to use a base.

Color Club Fashion Addict

Hi guys!
Super quick post today I'm sorry. Here is color clubs Fashion Addict. I did two easy coats.
Fashion Adict is a light lavender with holo effect walking the line between scattered and linear.
Here is a comparison of Fashion Addict with OPI DS Original and ChG IDK

OPI A Oui Bit of Red

Hi guys, so today I'm showing you a classic red polish! This polish is soo easy to apply, it's amazing!
Anyway, onto the polish.

A Oui Bit of Red was released with the French Collection a few years back. It's a true red with a teeeny tiny bit of hidden shimmer that really came as a suprise to me.

Zoya Cheryl

Hi guys, really quick post today, I'm showing you Zoya Cheryl.
Cheryl is a chocolatey brown with a ton of reddish/copperish shimmer. Applied beautifully in two coats.

Excuse my cuticle oil lol

Australis Flip Flops

Hi guys, today I'm showing you an Aussie polish!
Australis is an Australian drug store brand that have some pretty good polishes, I don't tend to by DS brands because I don't find that they compare to higher quality brands, and in AUSTRALIA aren't actually that much cheeper.
Anyway here is Flip Flops by Australis. It was released in 2012 as a limited edition shade but it's readily available and I'm sure it will continue to be.

Flip Flops is an extremely bright royal blue jelly base with bright electric blue glitter particles inside it. This is three coats, but two would suffice. The formula was easy and brush was manageable.

Australis polishes retail for $7.95 and are available at K-Mart, Target and Priceline.

OPI Just Spotted The Lizzard

Hi guys, today I'm wearing OPI Just Spotted The Lizzard.
I know you've all seen this a million times already but I had a lot of trouble getting my hands on it. (see my fake OPI post)
Anyway, JSTL is a gold to green duchrome that is a dupe of the infamous Chanel Peridot.
This polish is very brushstrokey which I hate, and not exactly flattering. Cool? yes. Actually looks good on my nails? No.
It applies sheer the first coat but you could easily wear it at two. I used three coats.

China Glaze FYI

Hi guys, here is the last OMG polish I own that hasn't been shown before. This so far is my least favourite OMG. (DV8's my favourite)
FYI is a tan-nude holo but it is a lot more yellow/gold than I expected.
I received a decanted amount of FYI as an extra in a swap on MUA.

Excuse the smudges :S

China Glaze IDK: Swatch & Comparison

Hi guys, today I'm showing you China Glaze IDK. IDK is a gorgeous light purple with a strong linear holographic effect. It applied well in two coats.

Here's a comparison swatch I did a while back when I swatched OPI DS Original.

China Glaze OMG

Hi guys, today I thought I'd go through some of my China Glaze OMG polishes, so stay tuned in the next few days for additional swatches.
I thought I'd start off with OMG itself. Unfortunately my bottle is only half full since I found it at a dusty, but I love it none the less. This is three coats.

China Glaze For Audrey & Stamping

Hi guys, today I thought I'd show you one of my favourite polishes. This is China Glaze For Audrey which is a tiffany blue creme. Opaque in two coats, but if you aren't "experienced" in applying polish, you could end up with a bit of streakiness.

I then decided to do a bit of stamping. I chose KONAD Plate M57 and used China Glaze Four Leaf Clover to stamp.

Nfu Oh #65 Swatch & Comparison

Hi guys, so today I'm showing you Nfu Oh # 65. This is the most amazing holo!
A beautiful pale blue with a strong linear holo effect.
I've heard these polishes getting flack for being hard to apply but I didn't experience this. I did not wear a basecoat or topcoat and it applied fine. The formula is on the thin side, but it isn't sheer. I used two coats.

Here is a comparison shot I did a while back of some of my light blue holos

Max Factor Fantasy Fire

Hi guys, so today I am wearing Max Factor Fantasy Fire! I have mixed feelings about this polish so stay tuned for that at the end.

Fantasy Fire is a super vibrant almost neon blurple base with a red/green duochrome shimmer. Here I have it layered over OPI Rumples Wiggin.

Unfortunately, pictures do not capture this polish well :(

Lookin' a bit too bloooooo.

No, I haven't fake tanned, my hand is literally an inch away from a warm toned light bulb.
The colour turned out well though, but it's a few shades darker than normal.

Here you can see a bit of the green shimmmmmah!

Thoughts.

So obviously you all know that this polish is a suggested dupe for the infamous Clarins 230. It does have the amazing duochrome shimmer, but in a very different base (but I don't own 230) and in all honesty I think FF is much prettier.
While I love this colour, I think nearly neon blurple base is STUNNING! and the red shimmer, and green shimmer respectively are just gorgous. But I do have a couple of hangups.
1. This bottle is TINY.  It is 4.5mL, yes, smaller than an OPI mini!
2. The formula STINKS. It's super sheer, and uneven, not in like the leveling of the polish, but in the coverage.
3. Brush and handle are HORRIBLE. It's soo short, and the brush leaves a LOT to be desired.
4. It's only sold in the UK, and is very pricey on ebay for less than 5 mL

With that said, I used about 5-6 coats of Fantasy Fire over OPI Rumples Wiggin, and I was very suprised how little of the bottle I used, only maybe two millimetres from the top of the bottle (not much in a mini bottle). The formula is so thin that although you need a million coats, your not really using much more polish than you would with a regular standard 2-3 coat formula. So that was impressive I thought.

Over all I'm very glad I own it, I won't wear it often, partly because I have enough polish I'll never have to wear one twice in my life, partly because it takes so long to apply, and partly because it's such a small bottle.

Oh and here's OPI Rumples Wiggin on its own

Nfu-Oh #49

Hi guys, so today I'm wearing Nfu-Oh 49 over Lincoln Park After Dark. While this is a gorgeous polish I think you can achieve a reeeeeally similar effect with Essie Shine of the times or Nubar 2010. 49 is a bunch of flakies in a pretty much clear base, so put it over a dark colour to make it pop.
Regardless, gorgeous flakie goodness, enjoy!
